Situated just south of Le Mans and an easy 25 minute drive to / from the Le Mans 24 hours race circuit, this chateau is a private family home and not a hotel.
The chateau has been in the same family since 1415 and sits in 100 hectares of its own majestic grounds. The river Vegre runs through the chateau grounds and the stunning tree lined driveway to the house is over 1km long!
The main house has plenty of patina, whilst also retaining all the charming authentic décor, perhaps this can best be described as faded splendour.
This gives the chateau a very relaxed and welcoming atmosphere; however you will be captivated by the sense of history.
The current Countess is very hospitable and fully enjoys the company of guests.
There are various room types in the chateau, double, twin and single. Some with en-suite, where others have shared facilities.
In addition there are also rooms available in the Trianon building, again double, twin and single, all with shared facilities.
The chateau grounds also afford plenty of secure space for executive camping, where quality showers and toilets will be provided. See more details on camping at Chateau de Dobert at the foot of this page.
