Drive It Day 2017 offers you the opportunity to blow the cobwebs off your vintage, veteran, classic, sports, prestige or modern performance car after it's long winter hibernation and kick of the 2017 season with a fabulous one day event driving on some of Scotland's finest roads.
The day starts with arrival at the unique Deanston Distillery, Doune for breakfast and registration. Prior to the drivers briefing entrants will receive numbered roundels for their car and route instructions for the day.
The first car will depart from the distillery at 09.30; following cars will then set off at 30 second intervals.
The morning route will take in some beautifully scenic roads, passing through Doune, Braco, St Fillans, Loch Earn, Crianlarich, Tyndrum, Glen Orchy, Dalmally Loch Awe before arriving at The Rest & Be Thankful.
The private old military road was resurfaced and refurbished in 2013 to the very highest of possible standards, with the new surface now being in perfect condition.
Classic Car Tours has secured access for entrants to the old hill climb, where you will be able to put your car through its paces on this challenging course. This part of the event will be fully marshalled for your safety.
From The Rest & Be Thankful we then head to Inveraray Castle where the Old Kitchen has been reserved for entrants to enjoy a private lunch. Entrants will also enjoy the privilege of being able to park their cars at the front of the castle.
The event will be run under an MSA permit and is open to vintage & veteran cars, classic cars, sports cars, prestige cars and modern sports & performance cars and is limited to 30 vehicles in total.
