Glasgow Start Rallye Monte Carlo Historique

27th to 30th January 2012

This four day experience will focus on the Glasgow start to the Historic Monte Carlo rally and will give you the opportunity to take part in a scenic tour and “heritage” run departing from the same start ramp as the Monte entrants!
Arriving at Glasgow on Friday 27th, you will reside in the luxury 5 star Blythswood Square Hotel, with reserved parking and security.
On Saturday 28th, you will take part in a scenic tour of circa 150 miles, taking in a distillery visit, lunch stop and the opportunity to drive your car up the world famous old “Rest and be Thankful” road!
Sunday will see your car parked at Clydebank College (Parc Ferme) along with the Monte competitors, giving you the unique opportunity to soak up the atmosphere and be part of this famous event whilst participating in all the pre event festivities.
After supper you will be able to watch the start of the Monte proper, before it’s your turn to drive down the start ramp, through the thronging crowd and into the night air!
A road book, itinerary, rally plaque, polo shirt and the services of a tour director are all included.
This particular tour is specifically designed for period correct sports & rally cars (or their replicas) manufactured between 1955 and 1980. Period correct costume is also fully encouraged and a prize will be given to the most suitably attired crew.
